This morning, I hopped out of bed with about as much enthusiasm as a 5-year-old on Christmas morning! I love my job. It's a REALLY great time to be part of my coaching team, The Juvo Empire. Exciting things are happening for the coaches on my team (my team is ranked#44 out of 290,000 teams!!!). Today we celebrate those accomplishments!!
Unfortunately, as I tried to turn on my MacBook this morning all that stared back at me was "the blue screen of death."
Now, anyone who knows me knows that I'm impatient and hot-headed; it goes with the ginger territory. The old me would have immediately FLIPPED OUT! I probably would have been in rage tears and stomping my feet on the ground, all while trying to figure out a reason to blame Ben for the fatality of my computer.
But that's not what happened this morning. Instead I went downstairs to make my Shakeology and I rejoiced. Yes, you read that right. I said I rejoiced! I rejoiced and gave thanks to God, because I don't have to panic about stuff like this anymore.
A year ago, this would have sent me into an anxiety meltdown and we would have tacked another few grand onto our, then growing, credit card debt. But not today.
That's not the life we live anymore thanks to the coaching opportunity that I believe God put in my life. So, today when Apple opens I'm going to buy a new MacBook (if mine can't be fixed) without a single worry about finances and without piling anymore debt onto my name. And while I really don't want to spend that much money today (I'd much rather pay off more of my student loans), I'm going to give thanks to God that I'm in a position where I can and reflect on all the blessings He has provided the past year.
