Three years ago to the day, I made my first announcement on social media that I was a Beachbody coach.
I was so stinking scared. I remember wondering what people would think about me…
Even though I was scared to try to build this business, I was more scared of what my future may hold if I did nothing to move my life forward. I was scared because we had a substantial amount of student loan debt, not to mention a pile of credit card debt as well.
It wasn’t just the debt that scared me though. It was what the debt would do to my future family that really scared me. Ben and I were fighting so much about money it was draining our marriage.
In 2014, my biggest fear was bringing children into our world because of our financial situation. I knew kids would cause more financial obligations and I didn’t know how we’d be able to live comfortably with added bills. More than anything though, I didn’t want our future kids to see us fight about money or have a dad that was never home, because he was constantly working to make sure the bills were paid.
When I saw the opportunity to lose weight, become a better person, AND build additional income at the same time, I thought why not? I couldn’t get more broke, and the worst case scenario was that I’d lose weight.
So, I faced my fears. I said “yes”. And with that simple decision my entire life changed.
I backed up my decision with action. And in doing so, I built a successful at-home business. I didn’t think this type of job was out there, but I’m living proof. I’ve built a profitable business from home. This is real, you guys. Why everyone doesn’t go all-in with this, I don’t know. If you are coachable, if you are willing to WORK HARD, trust the process, and have faith, you can do this. BUT, again, it does take REAL work, and it’s worth it.
My world would look SO MUCH different right now had I let fear hold me back. We’d still be living paycheck to paycheck and I’d still be fearful of bringing kids into a struggling marriage. But instead, I listened to my heart. I listened to that little nudge from God and took a leap of faith.
